We have seen the vintage and lace styles come through again in 2014 stronger than ever and this time with a softer edge to the styles making them even more popular than before.
With so many fabulous wedding dress designers out there now we could not pick a favourite but here are some that have caught our eye.
Vintage/Lace Style Wedding Dresses
Allure Bridals ‘Style 2751’ Wedding Dress (2014 Romance Collection)
Part of Allure Bridals Romance Collection, this dress is a classic fishtail with delicate cotton lace shoulder straps. If you are looking for that classic vintage elegance then this is the style that epitomises this. To pull this dress of in style you may need height as with all fishtail dresses – they are definitely not for every bride but don’t let that stop you from trying it on if you really love it! It comes in White, Ivory, and Champagne/ivory. We also loved the style 2715 which has a trumpet bottom and a similar top as the 2751 style.
Maggie Sottero ‘Annette’ Wedding Dress (2014 Fall Collection)
This dress has the most exquisite floral embroidered lace over a tulle sheath dress with covered zips and buttons. We love that it comes with detachable key-hole cap sleeves and cosgrain ribbon for the sash. The only decision is which look to go for – perhaps you can keep the detachable sleeves to arrive at the reception with a completely new look and get a second WOW because wearing this dress you certainly are going to get the wow factor. This dress comes in All White, All Diamond White, Diamond White/Parisian Mist (as shown in picture below).
Pronovias ‘Yesura’ Wedding Dress (2014 Atelier Collection)
The attention to detail on this Chantilly lace dress is superb. The Yesura has a lace bodice covered in the finest tulle with appliqués and gemstone embroidery. Stunning bateau neckline with long sleeves and illusion sweetheart neckline make this a truly unique and entrancing combination. The train is detachable from the hip and dress comes in white and ivory.
Glamour Style Wedding Dresses
Pronovias ‘Odina’ Wedding Dress (2014 Glamour Collection)
Nothing says glamour like satin and gemstones – this one ticks all the boxes! Princess style wedding dress in satin with a draped bodice and V-neck gathered in at the waist with an exquisite appliqué belt with silver and white. Skirt is pleated in at the waist to let it flow out from the bodice. What can we say – simply stunning!
Alfred Angelo ‘Style 2450’ Wedding Dress (2014 Collection)
Gorgeous embroidered bodice with metallic accents, rhinestones, crystal beading and sequins with a sweetheart neckline. Comes with optional spagehetti straps or ‘Modesty Piece’ (for the illusion affect). Skirt is a quality soft organza flowing from the bodice in a seamless style. Dress comes in Ivory and white. We love this dress because it has the glamour appeal with its unique embroidery which is softened by the skirt which flows in a way words cannot describe!
Couture Wedding Dresses
Allure Bridals ‘Style 301’ (Allure Couture 2014 Collection)
The use of English net gown in this dress makes it truly special. The appliqué detail in the dropped waist bodice is carried through to the skirt tying it altogether to make one beautiful dress when the light catches it. We suggest this dress is best suited to a person with long legs as with all dropped waisted dresses!
